BEEGITAL SYSTEMS, a sole proprietorship of Filippos Karagiorgis, Agiou Fotiou 8, 82131 Chios, Greece, VAT No. 145517294, is the data controller for personal data processed through beegital.gr where it determines the purposes and means of processing.

Personal data we process

Depending on how you use the website, we may process identity and contact details, billing and order information, account data, payment-related transaction information, product or licence information, support communications, technical and security data, IP address, device/browser information and information you submit through forms.

Payment card details are processed by the payment provider used at checkout and are not intended to be stored in full on our website.

Why we process personal data

We process personal data where necessary to:

  • take steps before entering into a contract and perform contracts, including orders, delivery, licensing, support and account management;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations;
  • protect the website, customers, systems and transactions against fraud, abuse and security threats;
  • respond to enquiries and manage customer relationships;
  • pursue legitimate business interests where those interests do not override your rights; and
  • use optional technologies or send marketing communications only where a lawful basis, including consent where required, applies.

Payments

Card payments are processed through WooPayments and its underlying payment infrastructure. Payment providers may process identifiers, billing details, transaction information, device information and fraud-prevention data as necessary to process and secure payments. Bank-transfer payments are processed through the relevant banking institutions.

Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be disclosed only where necessary to service providers involved in website hosting, infrastructure, payments, banking, email, invoicing and accounting, software licensing, customer support, security, professional advice and legal or regulatory compliance. We may also disclose information where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law must be used, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards where applicable.

Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for any additional period required by tax, accounting, contractual, fraud-prevention, security or other legal obligations. Order and accounting records may need to be retained for statutory periods. Support and account information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the service and any related legal obligations or claims.

«Μην την πατήσεις!» — έλεγχος ύποπτων μηνυμάτων και συνδέσμων

Το δωρεάν εργαλείο «Μην την πατήσεις!» αναλύει το κείμενο που εισάγετε τοπικά στον browser σας για ενδείξεις απάτης. Όταν υπάρχουν σύνδεσμοι, οι διευθύνσεις URL αποστέλλονται με HTTPS στον server του beegital.gr για σύγκριση με βάσεις phishing και κακόβουλων domains που διατηρούνται τοπικά. Το κείμενο του μηνύματος δεν αποστέλλεται από το εργαλείο. Το plugin δεν επισκέπτεται τους συνδέσμους που υποβάλλετε και δεν διαβιβάζει τα αιτήματα ελέγχου στις εξωτερικές πηγές των λιστών.

Για URL που εμφανίζουν ενδείξεις προσωπικού token, ο browser προσπαθεί να στείλει μόνο το domain αντί ολόκληρου του URL και παραλείπεται ο έλεγχος της ακριβούς διεύθυνσης για phishing. Ο server απορρίπτει επιπλέον ορισμένα URL με αναγνωρίσιμες παραμέτρους μυστικών στοιχείων. Οι έλεγχοι αυτοί δεν εγγυώνται την αναγνώριση κάθε προσωπικού δεδομένου: αφαιρείτε πάντοτε ονόματα, κωδικούς, στοιχεία κάρτας και προσωπικούς συνδέσμους πριν από την υποβολή.

Το plugin δεν δημιουργεί αρχείο ιστορικού με τα μηνύματα ή τις διευθύνσεις που ελέγχθηκαν. Για περιορισμό κατάχρησης χρησιμοποιείται προσωρινός μετρητής αιτημάτων με ψευδωνυμοποιημένο αναγνωριστικό από τη διεύθυνση IP, διάρκειας περίπου πέντε λεπτών. Η συνήθης υποδομή του ιστότοπου ή του hosting μπορεί επιπλέον να επεξεργάζεται τεχνικά δεδομένα σύνδεσης και αρχεία καταγραφής για λειτουργία και ασφάλεια. Τα αποτελέσματα είναι ενδεικτικά και δεν αποτελούν πιστοποίηση ασφάλειας ή σάρωση αρχείων.

“Don’t fall for it!” — suspicious message and URL checker

The free tool analyses message text locally in your browser for possible scam indicators. Extracted URLs, where present, are transmitted over HTTPS to beegital.gr and compared against phishing and malicious-domain indexes stored on this website. The message text itself is not submitted by the tool. The plugin does not visit submitted websites or send individual lookup requests to the third-party list providers.

For URLs that appear to contain personal tokens, the browser attempts to submit only the hostname, skipping an exact-URL phishing lookup. The server also rejects certain recognisable sensitive URL parameters. These safeguards are not exhaustive: remove personal details, passwords, payment-card information and private links before submitting. The plugin does not maintain a history of submitted messages or URLs. A pseudonymised, IP-derived request counter is kept temporarily (approximately five minutes) to limit abuse. Standard hosting and security infrastructure may separately process technical connection data and logs. Results do not guarantee safety and do not scan downloaded files.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
